This is one of my favorite items I have purchased from Citruss TV! I love bananas and other fruit and this is perfect to make desserts. It is easy to take apart and clean in the dishwasher and also easy to use. You don't even have to use bananas if you don't want. I have made just plain strawberry sorbet and it came out great. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested

I'll keep the review brief: the product does what it says...it transforms frozen bananas and other fruits into a delicious creamy frozen dessert similar to soft-serve ice cream. I'm guessing the level of banana flavour depends on the bananas themselves and whatever other fruits or flavorings you add. But I'm pretty sure this will never get confused for soft-serve vanilla ice cream. ;-)

It's actually very easy to disassemble and clean. Don't believe the claims that you can simply rinse the washable parts under running water to clean them; you'll need soap and water. Overall, not a big deal.

What is a big deal, however, is the noise this little gadget makes. Holy smokes, is it loud! And I mean **LOUD**! This is definitely not an appliance you'll be using late at night to make yourself a quick snack while others are sleeping...you'll wake up the whole household.

It actually does make a yogurt consistency treat out of a frozen banana or frozen fruit. It's easy to use and even the recipes included with it are healthy. The end result can easily take the place of high calorie ice cream. Children would love it, too, both to make the treat and to eat the treat!

This works ok but I prefer the smoothies and ice cream from the big blending machine. Treats from this melt too fast.

I bought this when it was a Deal of the week and I am so happy with it. I use it several times a week with all sorts of different fruits (+bananas ALWAYS), the finished product is a creamy, delicious decadent treat no matter what combo of fruit I use. I add nothing else and it always turns out delicious. This is truly on of the best inventions EVER! I will never be without my YONANAS!!

I have read lots of the reviews good and bad. I think the disappointed folks didn't really understand the concept of this machine. It uses bananas - everything you make will pretty much taste like bananas if they are in it. My husband and I are trying to eat healthier and I thought this would help so we don't miss the summer ice cream treats. We have made several recipes in the booklet. LOVE the dark cherries & chocolate one. Tastes like a chocolate covered cherry candy (you only taste a little of the banana in this one). the strawberries & banana is good too. I have pineapple & mango frozen right now so I can try that next (with no banana). Cleaning is not a problem and the ice cream left in the machine can easily be scraped out into your bowl to enjoy. It is no worse than having to clean the ice cream off the "rib" of a homemade ice cream freeze

We are on a strict plant-based diet. (For health reasons.) No dairy, no animal fats, no grain, no gluten, no salt, no added sugar (even honey), no fake sugars, no gum, no preservatives, no colourings, etc. In other words, nothing processed-- or yummy. Ice cream is definitely off-limits. This machine allows us to enjoy a tasty and satisfying frozen treat without the consequences. So yeah! It is very different than eating a banana. We feel that we are having dessert-- just like everyone else. (The fruit comes out thick and cold, but it is not like ice cream.)
Our unit works well; we follow directions, and it does just as they say that it will. We have had no problems. I guess it is loud, but it's only for a couple of minutes. It is no louder than our smoothie machine. We don't find it to be a huge hassle to clean. (You do have to wash it by hand, and you have get it scrupulously clean and dry on the inside or mold can grow.)
For us, this product is a real winner.

my friend recommended this and was amazed at how well it worked so i purchased one. i too am amazed at how the fruit is transformed to 'ice cream'! just follow the directions on how long to thaw the fruit and it works wonderfully
